These terms govern your use of FODSPOT, a local business directory and job board for the Forest of Dean. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Using FODSPOT

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to create an account or post a listing. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, as we use it for passwordless sign-in.

Business listings

You may submit a business you own or are authorised to represent. Listings are reviewed before they go live, and we may edit, decline or remove a listing at our discretion — for example, if it is inaccurate, misleading, or breaches these terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping it up to date.

Job postings and payment

Posting a job is a paid feature. Payment is taken securely through Stripe using the embedded payment form, and a job is published only once payment is confirmed. The price is shown before you pay, and a job listing runs for 30 days from publication and then expires.

Because your listing goes live as soon as payment is confirmed, you agree to the service starting immediately and, once the listing is published, the payment is non-refundable. If payment is not completed, or a listing is not published, no charge applies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use FODSPOT to:

• post content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory or infringes anyone’s rights;
• post listings for businesses or roles that do not exist;
• submit spam, or attempt to interfere with, probe or disrupt the website or its security;
• collect other users’ data, or use the website other than as intended.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a licence to host, display and promote it as part of the service. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate.

Our content

The website, its design and its content (other than user-submitted content) belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Third-party content and links

Listings are provided by their owners, and the website may link to external websites. We are not responsible for third-party content or websites, and a listing is not an endorsement.

Availability

We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw features.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from third-party content or your use of the website.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the website and remove your listings at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts or listings that breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
